How TrustEvero
Verifies Tradespeople

Every tradesperson on TrustEvero goes through a manual review process before they can appear to homeowners. Here's exactly what that looks like.

🪪 ID Verified🏢 Business Verified🛡️ Insurance Verified
Verification Badges

What each badge means

TrustEvero awards up to three distinct verification badges. Each reflects a separate, independent check. Professionals may hold one, two, or all three.

🪪
ID Verified
ID Verified
What it means
Government-issued photo identification (passport or driving licence) has been reviewed and confirmed.
How we check it
The professional submits a clear image of their government-issued ID. Our team manually reviews the document for authenticity, checks the name matches the account holder, and confirms the document is current and valid.
ID verification does not confirm qualifications or insurance.
🏢
Business Verified
Business Verified
What it means
The trading name and business details have been reviewed. For limited companies, Companies House registration has been confirmed.
How we check it
Professionals submit their trading name and, where applicable, their Companies House registration number. For sole traders, we verify the trading name against submitted identity documents. For limited companies, we cross-reference Companies House records.
Business verification confirms the entity is real — it does not constitute an endorsement of their work.
🛡️
Insurance Verified
Insurance Verified
What it means
A valid public liability insurance policy has been reviewed and confirmed to cover the professional's trade activities.
How we check it
The professional submits their insurance certificate or schedule. We verify the policy is current, covers the stated trade, and shows adequate coverage. We check the policy holder name matches the account.
Insurance is verified at the point of onboarding. Professionals are required to notify us if their policy lapses.
The Review Process

Manual review, every time

We don't automate trust. Every application is reviewed by a real person at TrustEvero before a badge is awarded.

01
📝
Application submitted
A tradesperson creates a TrustEvero account and completes their professional profile, including their trade type, experience, and location.
02
📤
Documents uploaded
The professional uploads the required verification documents — ID, insurance certificate, and business details — securely through the platform.
03
🔍
Manual admin review
A TrustEvero team member individually reviews each submitted document. This is a human review — not an automated process. We check authenticity, validity, and consistency.
04
Badges awarded
Once approved, the relevant verification badges are added to the professional's public profile. If any document cannot be verified, we notify the applicant and give them the opportunity to resubmit.
05
🔄
Ongoing responsibilities
Professionals are required to keep their verification documents up to date. We reserve the right to remove badges if documentation expires or concerns are raised.
